Job Description:

Lake of the Woods District Hospital is seeking applications from nurses registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Nurses, interested in full-time and part time permanent employment within the General Emergency Department.

Wage:             $32.21 per hour   -  $46.11 per hour
(as per ONA Collective Agreement)

Preferred Skills:

Preference will be given for applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Current certification in BCLS and demonstrated ongoing competence through annual re-certification
  • Completion of basic cardiac rhythm interpretation course with demonstrated ongoing competence
  • Current certification in ACLS and demonstrated ongoing competence through bi-annual re-certification
  • Current certification in TNCC
  • Certification in IV Therapy with demonstrated ongoing competence
  • Minimum one year recent acute medical, surgical, and/or emergency nursing experience
  • Reliable attendance record
  • Certification in CPI within the past two years or willingness to obtain
  • Experience working independently in an emergency department within the past four years preferred
  • Current certification in PALS and/or ENPC preferred
