The Finance department maintains the accounting records of the Corporation in accordance with Canadian generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). The department collects financial and statistical data according to the MIS Guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
Principle functions include: establishment of internal controls for the safeguarding of finance assets; external reporting to MOHLTC and other funding agencies; internal reporting to managers and Board members; provide payroll services to 500 employees and related government reporting; payment of invoices to vendors and suppliers; billing and collection of invoices to insurance companies, patients and OHIP; preparation and management of budgets.
